I have used 4 LM556 PLL based IR proximity sensors in one of my robots. It was good in detecting white walls up to 30cm in indoor daylight.
Try searching on term like "proximity sensor IR lm556" and you'll find a lot of info. Anyway the circuit which Kai gave it's link should be more powerfull since it uses a IR receiver module . Let me know if you didn't find a good schematic and I'll send you the circuit I've used. Also try here for an introduction to 555 : http://www.priory.bromley.sch.uk/students/...ectronics/ Good luck Farshid |
