#107468 - surge/spike suppression?? |
what is the circuit(or component) that is normally used for surge/spike suppression? Is a metal oxide varactor enough for suppressing spikes in the power supply(230v ac)? or Is there any other way of doing it to guard the microcontroller?...........and.......what are the precautions to be taken for using a relay to switch (230v ac power lines)other than using a diode in reverse bias(or using ulq2803)
my aim is to replace the normal household switches with a relay switch in my circuit so that i can switch it ON and OFF according my logic(using 8051uc). |
