I don't see anything in the Hypoterminal documentation that specifies how it behaves in the event of a Parity error - maybe it just ignores them?! still the characters are being received as 0x55 irrespective of the parity setting on hyperterminal. What happens if you connect two Hypoterminals together and repeat the experiment? There may be nothing wrong with your code - this may just be what happens with Hypoterminal! |
