#106641 - query about the_final_word Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Jon (or anyone else),
I started looking at the aforementioned pdf (THE_FINAL_WORD_ON_THE_8051), but almost immediately had a question. At the top of page 9 (Listing A-5), where it refers to DATA and IDATA accesses there is the line: MOV R1, #22H ; set R1 to point at DATA address 22H Now I'm truly a noob here, but doesn't this actually mean: set R1 to the value 22H (0x22H)? In the same vein, on the first XDATA access line it says: MOV DPTR, #3048H ; set DPTR to point at XDATA address 3048H Same question as above, but different manuals. -- OR -- do I have a big case of RTFM? |
