#105694 - RS232 tests |
I am testing the RS232 interface by shorting the TXOUT with RXIN of the ADM3202ARN IC. I have written a code which transmits bytes from 00H to FFH to the hyperterminal and since the TXOUT and RXIN are short, the data is received on the RXIN pin.My question is how do I introduce noise into the interface to verify that the data transmission and reception is intact?
Can I insert a 1k ohm resistor inbetween the TXOUT and RXIN pins and switch the resistor between ground and the TXOUT - RXIN pin? |
