What you need, dear Peter, is a PCB containing a solid ground plane! Providing a path for fast digital signals is more than connecting point a to point b: Wave packets are travelling along transmission lines formed by signal traces and solid ground plane! To learn more about solid ground planes type "solid ground plane" into the search window. I have written many many posts about this important issue here. Bread boards can work under certain conditions. But only for very very tiny projects, if at all! Kai |
