For Craig : No competition was ever intended. I'm not good at this, we all know it :) I just had to see one of these things generate video for myself.
In your "Hor Far" post you refer to the font used as "VGA8"; does this mean you are using the same or similar method that Myke uses in font generation? I found that the font.inc file contained alot of unnessecary chars. which when removed, saved considerable space in control store. Did you ever experiment with VGA signal generation? I think it would be really interesting to use a regular computer monitor as opposed to a TV for the 8-bit computer. I remember reading posts on the "Atari" discussion from several people, but I don't know if this was ever actually tried. |
