#100530 - Still confused.... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thanx all for your input.
To Andy Neil I still got quite a bit of my budget left, but not enough to buy the development board. It's about R6000 which is about $100, and the uni wont pay for that i'm affraid. So i'm going to have to make one. a very simple one that is. I'm studying electrical and electronic engineering, not sure why we did not do any microcontroller courses actually, think its a mistake of the administration. when i chose this thesis i never knew i would be working with a micros. At first i thought that it was purley an investigation into Mp3 and its fine workings and all. I've done all that work and i know alot about Mp3 now, but then my lecturer said i must get the Mp3 chip from Atmel and start there. But now i'm stuck with this project, and i'll have to do my best i suppose. Cant change it now. i've read the datasheets and think i might know how to start now. just one more question that i;m still not sure of. Do i need to program the chip to interface with an external memory source? interrupts and all that stuff. Regards |
