what I wanted to say is that here is more re the "swichers are bunk, linears are beautiful" is balooney.

as I said in my first post: there is no one solution and the situation described in the article is handled better with a switcher.

also note the highlight in my first post repeated here
"a linear supply is always quiter than a switcher" is disproven.
