#181603 - Inconsistency in serial data output |
Hi,
I am working on an EMG processing circuit as mentioned earlier in a thread. At this stage, I am into programming the dsPIC for the purpose. I have written a code for serial communication for it. The first time I try it, it works fine, giving me the correct character output. But, after some more trial runs, it starts giving a wrong value. I do not change anything in the circuit or the code, just press reset a few times and it gives the correct output. But, its not stable and again starts giving wrong data. 1) I am not able to narrow down the problem to whether it is hardware related or software? I changed the chip and the board, but the problem persists and also the Proteus simulations of the code are working fine. 2) As I am more accustomed to using a P89V51RD2, could you suggest a chip that I could use for this application having the basic core as 8051 and also some advantages of the dsPIC, like high operating speeds? Its just that I would be able to adapt to it much faster. -- Sonia Sanghvi |
