My phone has a similar feature.
But instead of turning an antenna and getting a direction with strongest signal, to triangualate the target, it makes use of the GPS to tell about geo-caches close to my location. Maybe less fun with the technical side, but huge number of geo-caches exists all over the world making it possible to hunt them whenever you want, and wherever you want. If you get stuck in a foreign location for a day, you can just pick up your phone and go hunting. |
