I might be confused about that, but it's not particularly of import at all. I haven't had time to take a look at the schematic portion of the SW, but will do so as time allows. I've been busy playing "grandpa" to a couple of visiting 10-year-olds, and havent' had much free time in the past couple of weeks.

I've already pointed out that, of the benefits offered by bEAGLE, it's the auto-router that offers the most. It does require extensive post-route editing, but at least one package (can't remember its name, though) I've seen does the post-processing (resolving the metric/imperial mislocations, etc.) and does the job very quickly (less than 10 seconds on a 100-component board), so it's pretty standard stuff. That takes a week that would have been used for the hand-editing off the task. That board took bEAGLE two weeks to auto-route, BTW.

Once the symbols are created and the schematic is entered, the rest, aside from that post-processing, is pretty straightforward. Maybe this new "free" package does better at the symbol and schematic entry.
