#176026 - Multiple LEDs... |
Hi,
Just wanted some advice on how to drive multiple LEDs from a single micro - probably an LPC93X or similar. I've done a few google and 8052.com searches, but most of the results are relevant to displaying multiple LEDs, whereas all I want to do is turn on one of 40 LEDs. I've considered the following: 1. PCA9698 port expander 2. MAX6957 SPI LED driver However, considering that all I want to do is turn on ONE of 40 LEDs, they both seem to be overkill. Alternatively I could use a seperate LPC to drive the LEDs I guess. The real question is could I multiplex the LEDs somehow so that I just set 2 ports and forget it, rather than continually refreshing, or scanning? Any thoughts gratefully accepted. Ta, Rob. |
