There is a story (possibly a "legend") of someone testing an electronic translator gadget by feeding it the English proverb, "Out of sight, out of mind"[1] and then feeding the result back through the reverse translation back to English.
The result, it is said, was "Invisible idiot". It is usually very obvious when someone makes a post on a forum which has been "translated" (sic) into English by some automated gadget... [1] The saying means, basically, if you can't see something, you don't worry about it. |
