anyone else using Linux?
i have got Linux Mint on all three desktop machines at home; on my kid's new machine it's the only OS and on the other two it's dual-boot with Windows XP. it boots really fast, much faster than XP, and has no antivirus (or not much) slowing things down. my kids prefer it for that reason (my 7-yo "hates windows" now.) (the site is linuxmint.com; it's an Ubuntu derivative, and Ubuntu is a derivative of Debian.) |
