#173231 - 89S52 and multiple PWM |
Hello.
I want to control some RGB LEDs using an 89S52 receiving the data via serial. After some tries I discovered it is an exchange of the actualization rate (frame rate?) and number of outputs... the more outputs the less "frame rate" With 8 outputs I would get around 30 "FPS" which is ok, but I may need more outputs and want to code some more things here. So I'm asking you for some idea on how to deal with it without changing the uC... I was thinking in some type of external PWM IC... maybe I2C, does exists some like this? I thought also in doing part of it analogic, something like this I dont know if works: some latches ICs with a R/2R net driving a transistor that drives the LED, this way I would only need to use the uC time when need to change the output. Any idea is welcome. Thanks. |
