I think Mike was referring to number of posts displayed in a long thread, ... but only in flat mode
if that is a problem, just leave 'flat'. I am using 'traditiona' and, quite often have to refer to a previous post. Any cutting would make 'some' previous posts invisible and I guess lead to repeats of things posted earlier, but now invisible to the 'cutters'. I just saw the proof of my point for us dial-up users, how about if we had long threads cut down to maybe 20 posts per page http://www.8052.com/forumchat/read.phtml?id=137497 show the effect of not reading the early posts Erik |
