If a number is normal in some base x then the probability of finding a sequence of n digits is 1/x^n so you will find in base ten the digits 1 to 9 occur with a probability of 1/10,sequences 01 to 99 occur with a probabily of 1/100 and so on.Thats if the decimal expansion of pi is random.   |
