They did not publish the innards of the chip (including the processor(s)), so the usage is limited as per firmware provided. A big pity; I immediately have a slightly different application on my mind.
 OK maybe it's available against NDA but I am not going to find out at the moment. I think it is a big mistake from FTDI not to make it public but that's my personal view, arguable. Oh yes, I had a look at the provided firmware, "of course", and sadly it's NOT a '51... :-( (apparently custom, it did not resemble anything I know - not that I know them too many...) JW  |
