I have undergraduate degrees in Physics (B.Sc.) and in Electrical/Electronics (A.Sc. & B.Sc.) from McNeese State University. I have a terminal Masters degree in Physics and a Ph.D. in Physics from University of Texas at Dallas. I did graduate work in high energy accelerator physics at Harvard, and I was an Applications Physicist II at the Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory in Texas until it was shut down by Congress. After that I owned a printed circuit assembly operation in Texas and am now pseudo-retired in rural Oklahoma. I say that I am pseudo-retired because I still do research and development, but only on my own self-funded projects. There are a couple of people I will contract for, doing PCB design and prototyping, but only rarely.

I am also a licensed Southern Baptist preacher, and do a bit of supply preaching for some of the local churches.
