I met a nice chap who ran slot machines, and learnt quite a lot. The relationship between slot machine operators and software developers has a poor reputation because the developers consistently put in backdoor routes to trigger jackpots. The excuse may be that they need a way to test execution paths, but the backdoor code somehow never gets removed from the shipping product. |
