This had no stack and no subroutine calls - one would XPPC P2 (exchange pointer with program counter). Count your blessings! I remember my dad getting a SC/MP development board - and then queueing for two days and nights to get a cheap ASR35 teletype to talk to it with - this was a DESK sized teletype.
