#123038 - power and reset Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Not a big deal for the demo board, but when laying out on your own board, make sure that you budget for the power consumption (0.4A if I remember right) because this thing uses every watt that they claim it does. Last layout I did the xport had it's own dedicated 3.3V regulator. A good idea to reserve a line for the reset. I had a device with an xport once that would stall for no apparent reason withing 24 hours. Pulling the reset line low on the xport cleared the problem. A later xport firmware update did fix this problem and we ran for about a month with no problems, but hey, once bitten twice shy.
Have fun with the xport, it's really neat device to get on the ethernet or internet without having to become a TCP/IP guru. Andy |
