Ethernet is a specific hardware interface, and associated low-level protocols.
TCP & IP are higher-level protocols that can be transported over a variety of physical link types - one of which is Ethernet. So, do you specifically need an Ethernet monitor, or are you actually just interested in TCP/IP? (the utilities I mentioned early work at the TCP/IP level, rather than specifically Ethernet). |
