#120318 - Cheap way Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Recently I needed to debug a serial connection. I happened to have some USB to Serial convertor modules lying around (http://www.ftdichip.com/). I connected one of these to a spare USB port, opened a terminal program and then used the Rx input of the module to probe the serial connection that I needed to debug. Not the most sophisticated solution but it did what I needed and the modules were 'to hand'. I guess if I used two modules I could have monitored both lines at the same time. |
