 I will say again "I know of no engineer that can not design a switching power supply, I know few that can make one work." My company has replaced more "home built" switchers with "store bought" than I even want to count. Today you can get a 3A switcher from someone that know what he is doing for less than $10, the component cost building your own is more than that (if you consider efficiency, EMI and robustness). erik |
