 At this point I'm looking at your suggested solution as the best option. I did find a replacement for the uPD7225 but it's still not available in RoHS format (Lead free to the unitiated). Because I have too much pride to kick and scream is it OK to enter the 3.3V world with just a whimper and a worry? This would be a great opportunity for someone to hi-jack this thread and start a pro-con argument for the European RoHS laws that kick in on 1 July. Maybe it would get moved to the Chat Board or perhaps it's relevant enough to stay on the Message Board. Anyway, thanks for your suggestion Erik. Regards, Bert |
