Jon, Steve, I was told to use "z" as american english and "s" as british, sorry Steve, english english.
I was also told color and colour, center and centre and I remember it only because I am a true royalist, God Save The Queen! :-))) Erik, when starting my military service, everybody got a handful of stuff of various sizes, then we exchanged between us. The only thing they cared about the size was our footwear of all kind... But due to unfortunate circumstances I was called in twice; the second time I knew better and simply opened my mouth as you said.
