| thanks u all for the opinions...i thought about it..may be.. that when both connections were there , only a fraction of AC appeared accross the opamp terminal (thanks to voltage div nw) but when one of the connection snapped open, entire voltage appeared across the terminal. Please note that I had given a separate power supply (battery) to opmap and this was not in anway connected to the AC mains I was measuring,since normally DVM uses battery. I had not connected the neg of batt supply to common of AC line for common ground. |
