#100065 - safety systems Responding to: ???'s previous message |
In some of our instruments, I subsume safety critical stuff to hardwired relay logic, or a Millenium II PLC. Mostly I am concerned with people not raising a certain part, spinning at 3000 RPM plus, out of its cell. There is a limit switch and a relay circuit. Raise the part and the motor goes off. Lower the part and the motor STAYS off, until a separate switch is cycled. This co-incidentally tells the 8052 system that the motor interlock is engaged. Also, when the mains is cycled, the instrument goes into interlock.
