However, it's totally boring to use a ready-made chip like an LM3915.
I'm wondering if I can do something similar using an 8051. Boring is beautiful, why try to make a square wheel when a round one exist. So many things DO go wrong when someone tries to make something "exciting" and, if you have any intention of ever becoming a professional, STOP SUCH THINKING!. Of course, if you have no intention of ever becoming a professional, you can do whatever you want without hurting the reputation of the profession. Erik |
