Hi,
you can connect the reiciver output to one !int input and program it for edge triggering. in ISR you set a Flag that a negative edge has been detected, on program you check for this flag say every 750 (with 50% error tol) micro secs. if flag is set there was a negative edge since last 750 us and that shows the presence of the signal .here you clear the flag again and check again.
