Some cuestions:
-I say may be 8052 is not good for 512K.. but if you need 65538 bytes ;-D then ... use one! -Some derivates like the dallas DS390? have 4M of real linear addresing Like an exercise: Why not a second 74573? then you spent only one more pin... or put an or gate in rd and wr to the strobe and then you spent no more pins... there are a lot of ways with standard components.
