C and C++ have diverged into two diffenent languges. Be careful about the differences. There are more simularities then differences. Even though ANSI C is generic, the compiler specific stuff must also be learned. C is not going to protect you from learning about the target system. It MAY not even protect you from having to code a little ASM for each. Pick something you have some interest in. You will not be a pro after 1 or 2 courses. There are some 8052 dev kits with limited compilers. You can not post PIC or ARM questions here (they have there own fourms). You may whan to look in to a community collge, IEEE, or BOCES course if you learn better with an instructor. Learning Pointers at home sucks. |
