#970 - Swipe card Reader |
I'm trying to write assembler in 8751 to read data from a magnetic strip using a TTL reader from Track 2.
I'm in a constant loop checking the clock line and sampling the data line as soon as the clock goes low. However I'm unsure after that how to 'decode' the data stream, whether the data is correct as it is or if it needs changing i.e. if the stream is 011001010 then only when adjacent bits are different do you get a one, so that the stream would become: 10101111 ??? If anyone has done this before or knows someone who has please contact me. a.d.ros-96@student.lboro.ac.uk |
