Thanks Andy Neil for direction. I used msdos bootable floppy to boot and then gave command to print ascii file on laserjet as you have suggested. Though i was not sure how to put "FORMFEED" in pure text file, i had to press key provided on (i didnot care what its name...) and then i had a printout. So, pure ascii text can be printed on laserjet w/o any driver.
So, i have to look into 89c52 system. I am directly connecting 89c52 ports to printer (no buffer). I am using 8 bit data lines + busy + ack. All pulled up by 4k7 except busy by 1k. Do you think there is any problem in hardware. Pl tell me how do i put formfeed in pure text file created by notepad or by wordstar in non document mode. Thanks MILIND |
