Isn't the 8052 the datestamp (1980/week 52 - not too probable but possible)?
The 8052 by Intel was introduced in 1983 (according to intel's chronology). Hitachi produced Z80 clones, but I don't believe it will come in 24-pin package. Couldn't that be a memory? Try posting a picture, maybe somebody will recognize it. Jan Waclawek |
