I used wiki everyday as a knowledge database in a robotic team for the frech robotic cup (in wich we scored 26 on ~200)
Of course, as every user knew every other we are not in the same configuration as on 8052.com IMHO a moderated wiki has no use, but a user limited have. If users can score message, why couldn't they add a page in the wiki. As an example, when on the forum a question is asked for the 10000 time, wouldn't a STFW (Search the Fuckin Wiki) a better answer than search the forum. As for the needed work to interface a wiki, it is usually not huge as many working wiki have been relesead under gpl license... (Personally I use Wikini) Wiki would be a way to keep the knowledge more effisciently than the forum could ever be. Best regards, Benjamin DAMET |
