Atmel ptoduces Low-Voltage serie of classic MCU51, they are marked with letters "LS". For example, AT89LS52 runs inside 2.7-4.0V.

Moreover, there are wide-range voltage derivatives, one of them is AT89S8253 which runs inside 2.7-5.5V
