The first question must be:
How fast ? E.g. to drive some relays, lamps, reading manual switches, always the slowest possible solution can do the job. E.g. I use always the 74HC595 (8 outputs) and 74HC165 (8 inputs) as expansion circuits. With no more than 5 lines an almost unlimited count of expansion circuits can be added. Peter |
