The sketch parodied a language class, in which the dialogue was subtitled with text such as: for (to be read in a comedy fake-german accent). So, in this context, "F U" means "Have You" - and the true translation is, "Have you forgotten [that] we hate SMS here?" I think the question mark should have made it obvious that the 'F' word was not intended? Anyhow, my apologies if it caused offence. [1] "The Two Ronnies" were a major TV comedy act in England back in the Seventies. |
