BCD numbers normally go from 0-9 in bits of 4.
0001 = 1 0010 = 2 0011 = 3 : : 1001 = 9 If you mask it (AND with a 3) it becomes an ASCII number 01 &30 ----- 31, which is the ASCII code for 1. This is not counting in Hex. |
