#91555 - It is so ironic Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Maxim are great for samples, just not so brilliant for stock :-(
It is so ironic, that many times I have designed with Maxim chips and received the prototypes made with samples = no $$ to Maxim. Then when starting production the contractor calls "there is 18 weeks delivery time and they want am order for 3000", so I have to specify an alternate = again no $$ to Maxim. I am NOT trying to abuse the wonderful sample philosophy Maxim has (and I like the quality of the chips), but what is one to do when samples can arrive in 3 days and production quantities never in time.
