It pretty much handles all the keypad interface issues; in the end, you are left with a keycode that could be read either from discrete port pins, or even set up as memory-mapped I/O. With a bit of conditioning logic, you could even hook this up to an external interrupt pin, and have an interrupt generated for every keypress. --Sasha Jevtic |
