...has even lower power consumption, but it needs a somewhat peculiar wakeup circuit, ensuring that the '51 gets NO reset until the full power is restored. Alternatively, you can use an external oscillator and gate it during no power. I have seen a very nice and non-conventional example - a clock - making use of powerdown mode for battery operation - on Peter Dannegger's website, but cannot find it any more... Jan Waclawek |
