Bill, be sure to purchase "USB Complete" by Jan Axelson (ISBN 0-9650819-3-1). You can find it at Amazon.com, I wasn't able to find it in bookstores.

I found the book to be very helpful and easy to read. I've been working on an 8052-based USB project. Not based on Cypress, but I found that Cypress actually implemented USB in a way similar to the implementation I was using.

The USB Complete book talks extensively about implementing a USB device with a Cypress EZ-USB. It's a definite "must-buy" if you're going to be working with USB, and will walk you most of the way through a typical HID project based on the EZ-USB.
