I want to build a project that sends keystrokes to a PC from an 8051. Based on my limited research, I think I need to transmit using RS423 but I don't know anything about the protocol. I read somewhere that it's similar to RS232 except that it's single ended. Does anyone have advice for me on how to do this and/or know where I can look?

Do I need a line driver to do this? Please help, I'm more of a programmer than an engineer!
