As I know this would be a good command voor a 80c52 processor like the Atmel 89c52 But some simulators (also from Vaultbbs) don't write in the low 256 bytes of the external memmory with this command, why?????

It should give a data an address signal trough Port 0 and Port 2 should stay
unchanged.

Why doesn't it work in the simulator?
Will it work in the real thing?
