Each asm mnemonic (instruction) is reduced to a unique hex code for that instruction and each operand is a hex number. This makes a list of hex numbers and to check the transfer to e.g. a programmer there is a checksum number added to every 8 or 16 hex numbers.There is also a line number in the hex file.
