It depends. If your design is a low cost one and PCB a small one, there is no problem with voltage reflection etc. You can omit this pull-ups and the system works OK. If your design is a large one with plenty of additional interface boards with long bus signal paths, you should use external pullups at the end of bus lines also as a termination.
